BOSTON - The Association of Athletics Managers (AAM) representing most of the world’s top athletes completed their three day Annual Meeting in Boston (Nov 9-11). Along with representatives from Samsung Diamond League Organizers (DL) and world’s major shoe companies they agreed to continue their strong relationship by forming a working group which will meet several times throughout the year, building common platforms to market their athletes in the world’s largest athletics meetings.

The Association of Athletics Managers (AAM), a group of 31 of the leading managers representing many of the top stars in athletics, including Usain Bolt, Yelena Isinbayeva, Tyson Gay, Asafa Powell, Kenenisa Bekele and Blanka Vlasic, successfully concluded its annual meeting in Madrid, Spain.  The meetings took place over three (3) days, ending on 05 November, 2009.

MIAMI - The Association of Athletics Managers, a group of thirty-two (32) ofthe World's leading managers in athletics, held its fifth annual convention in Miami, Florida last week. For the second consecutive year, the AAM invited representatives of the IAAF, the sports top meet directors, and representatives of the major shoe and apparel companies. Senior Vice-President Robert Hersh and Assistant to the President, Sandro Giovannelli, appeared of behalf of the IAAF. Among the many meeting directors who attended were Wilfried Meert of Brussels, Claude Buffault on behalf of Paris-St. Denis, Bettina Boerner on behalf of Zurich, Ian Stewart from the British meetings, Jose Luis de Carlos representing the Spanish meetings, Jacky Delapierre of Lausanne, Switzerland, Jean-Pierre Schoebel of Monaco, Steinar Hoen of Oslo, Tom Jordan of The Prefontaine Classic and Helio Melo of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

VALENCIA (ESP): In the first common project of the two associations, the Association of Athletics Managers (AAM) and Euromeetings (IAAF Grand Prix meeting organisers) met together at a forum organised in Valencia (nearly 70 participants) and spoke about the current state and how to improve the one day T&F Grand Prix meetings. With guests from the IAAF (vice-president Bob Hersh), EAA (president Hansjorg Wirz) and commercial partners (shoe companies and TV stations) the more than 7 hours long forum brought many interesting points and discussions.

MIAMI BEACH (Nov. 9, 2007) – An agreement has been reached by the Association of Athletics Managers (AAM) that its members will not represent any athlete who tests positive and is convicted of a doping violation for which he or she serves a two-year ban or longer. It is believed to be one of the first such agreements in any sport.
